Leaf Trading Cards Brings Back Press Pass Brand with JuJu Lewis Trading Cards

Leaf Trading Cards, a leading company in the trading card industry, has made a significant move by acquiring the iconic Press Pass brand. Press Pass, known for its innovative approach to memorabilia cards, ceased operations in 2015 after leaving a lasting impact on the industry. With this acquisition, Leaf Trading Cards aims to breathe new life into Press Pass and reintroduce it to collectors around the world.

The relaunch of Press Pass is being led by Kevin O’Neil, the current CEO of Leaf Trading Cards and former Director of Sales at Press Pass. O’Neil, having been part of the brand during its influential years, brings a unique perspective and deep understanding of its legacy. Under his leadership, Leaf Trading Cards plans to release new Press Pass-branded products that pay homage to the brand’s storied past while embracing modern trends and innovations.

Press Pass was a pioneer in the trading card industry, particularly when it came to memorabilia cards. One of its notable achievements was the introduction of race-used tires in its 1996 NASCAR release, setting a precedent for the integration of authentic memorabilia into trading cards. This continued with the introduction of race-used sheet metal cards and the first game-used jersey basketball cards in a draft product that featured future NBA stars like Kobe Bryant and Allen Iverson.

With the acquisition of Press Pass, Leaf Trading Cards aims to expand its product offerings and merge nostalgia with contemporary sports memorabilia. The company plans to release standalone Press Pass-branded products that will captivate both new and existing collectors. This relaunch promises to introduce a new generation of collectors to the Press Pass legacy while also pushing boundaries and innovating within the trading card market.

The first product to be released under the revived Press Pass brand will feature JuJu Lewis, a highly promising high school quarterback who has already committed to playing for the University of Southern California (USC) in the class of 2025. This football trading card box will give collectors an early glimpse into the talent and potential of Lewis, showcasing Leaf Trading Cards’ commitment to spotlighting emerging talent in the world of sports.

By embracing Press Pass’s renowned history and blending it with Leaf Trading Cards’ forward-thinking approach, the revitalization of the brand is set to excite collectors and fans alike. Leaf Trading Cards aims to create an experience that combines the thrill of collecting with the appreciation of sports legends and rising stars.

In conclusion, with its recent acquisition and relaunch of the Press Pass brand, Leaf Trading Cards is embracing the past while looking towards the future. By introducing modern collections that honor the brand’s groundbreaking history, Leaf Trading Cards is set to captivate a new generation of collectors and continue pushing the boundaries of the trading card industry.
