Rare Babe Ruth Dodgers Uniform and Hank Aaron Jersey Grab the Spotlight at Christie’s and Hunt Auctions Event

In addition to these star items, the auction included several other notable pieces. One of the standout items from the Geddy Lee Collection was a single-signed baseball by President Herbert Hoover. The ball, which exceeded all expectations, sold for an astonishing $214,200, far surpassing its estimated value of $25,000. Another intriguing item from the Geddy Lee Collection was a Mickey Mantle-signed baseball with an inscription about Brooks Robinson’s play at third base. This unique piece, with its personal touch and reference to two legendary players, fetched a respectable $30,240.

One of the most fascinating finds at the auction was a photograph from the Gladstone Collection. The photo depicted Civil War soldiers posing with baseball equipment, offering a glimpse into the intertwining of the sport and historical events. This captivating piece of history far exceeded its initial estimate of $10,000, selling for an impressive $113,400.
